The charity Save the Children is a signatory to the new Read On.Get On campaign, which aims to have all children reading well by the age of 11 by 2025.
Reading is the key to unlocking every child’s full potential and opens up a world of possibilities. A good education is about much more than just reading. But being able to read well is the foundation on which so much else depends: children first ‘learn to read’ and then they ‘read to learn’.
Find the Read On.Get On report on our Promoting Reading/Publications page, and Save the Children's hard-hitting video* (linked on our Promoting Reading/Videos page) to support it, which shows the potential impact of life-long poor literacy.
