National Poetry Day falls on Thursday 2 October this year with the theme of Remember. Forward Arts Foundation, who runs National Poetry Day, has free activities, lesson plans, posters, audio and video resources, and specially written poems to help you celebrate.

Also, the very useful reading website LoveReading4Kids has extensive lists of suggested poetry books for both primary and secondary pupils.
