The England Women’s team look like they have a very good chance of taking home the trophy at the Women’s Euros this summer. To capitalise on the excitement around the tournament, The FA and National Literacy Trust have teamed up to create a toolkit for teachers based around the Lionesses at the Women’s Euros.
The free Literacy with the Lionesses toolkit will be packed with fun football-themed activities for boys and girls in Years 5 to 8, using the excitement around the Lionesses’ progress in the Women’s Euros to develop boys’ and girls’ writing and reading skills.
Alongside the toolkit, top football author Tom Palmer will be writing a mini-story that follows the Lionesses at the Women’s Euros, which will be released a chapter at a time during the summer term, starting on July 3. The toolkit will be available to download on 5 June. Complete the expression of interest form to be notified when the toolkit and story is available to download.
