There are some spaces available on the Primary Library Conference later this month and the Secondary Seminar at the beginning of February.
The Primary Conference is entitled Promoting Reading in the Digital Age: Strategies for meeting the challenges of reading within today’s visual world (SLIB0161). It will take place in the north of the county at Everest Community Academy on Thursday 26 January, and at New Place Hotel near Wickham in the south on Friday 27 January. It will run 9.30-3.30pm.
The theme of the Secondary Seminar is Future Developments in Secondary School Libraries (SLIB0162-16AA). It takes place on Wednesday 1 February 2017 at Winchester Discovery Centre. Please note that we will be starting promptly at 10.00am.
Please make sure that you allow plenty of time to travel and park. For the cheapest parking, use the Park and Rides and alight at either Jewry Street if using the East sites, or City Road if using the South or Pitt sites. Alternatively use the Worthy Lane car parks, as the multi-storey at Tower Street is usually full by this time. Refreshments will be available from 9.30am.
Please contact SLS HQ or 01962 826660 to book a place.
