Our writing competition Right, Write 2016 launches today with three brand new themes.
It's designed to complement the writing element of the KS3 & 4 National Curriculum for English, and is free to enter for all subscribing secondary schools.
Stories should be between 500-1000 words, and are evaluated according to four criteria: Plot, Characterisation, Impact, and SPAG. The school competition co-ordinator should read through all the Notes before inviting pupils to enter.
For the first time we are opening the competition to staff too, and welcome entries from everyone. Depending on those we receive, we will publish one or more staff entries in the same booklet as the pupils'. (The prize on offer for staff is kudos only, however!)
Entrants will need to be registered on our Moodle site in order to submit their stories electronically. This includes staff entries, as the competition entry page is not accessible to unregistered users.
All the details are available on our Promoting Reading/SLS Writing Competition page.
