In parallel with our Managing Your Primary School Library course which starts this September, Hampshire SLS is now offering a Running Your Secondary School Library course for inexperienced or newly appointed Librarians in secondary schools.
Delivered over three three-hour sessions, the course will give an overview of the entire role of the secondary librarian, from day to day operations, making the most of library software, managing your collections, supporting the National Curriculum and the librarian's broader role in school.
Under normal circumstances the course will be delivered in your own school on a one-to-one basis, with one session per term to allow time to put into practice the theories covered. In the first instance please speak to your Lead Adviser or contact SLS HQ for more information.
