Children can have their own short story read by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo in this new competition, A Thousand Tales launched by Aldershot's West End Centre in conjunction with the News and Mail.

The competition, which closes on Friday 2 October, invites children from Hampshire and Surrey aged 5-8 or 9-11 to write a story up to 250 words in length about friendship or adventure!
