National Poetry Day is on 3 October 2019, this year marks the 25th Anniversary and the theme is 'Truth'

How will you celebrate? National Poetry Day is about everybody sharing poetry, reading poetry, writing poetry and enjoying poetry. There’s a wealth of special poetry resources around this year’s theme available now on the National Poetry Day website including a selection of poems, a toolkit for Schools full of hints and tips to get the celebrations started and a range of inspiring lesson plans for key stages 1 – 5.
