HIBA is an annual award for picture books for older readers, running in October and November. The judges are Year 5 pupils.

It is now in its 12th year and is designed to allow pupils of all abilities access to a range of inspirational and imaginative illustrated books and to decide on the winner. It provides participating pupils with a unique opportunity to be involved in a major county literary event.

Registration closes on Friday 22 May.
