Hampshire SLS's annual conference for Secondary school library staff will take place on Wednesday 6 May 2015 at Falcon House in Winchester.

The title is Mobile Technology and the School Library and our headline speaker will be Sarah Pavey, who will examine some of the issues surrounding the use of mobile technology in school.

Delegates will:

• Understand the problems surrounding the provision of mobile devices in school
• Understand the health and safety issues associated with mobile learning
• Explore ideas for using mobile technologies to promote reading for pleasure
• Consider ways to use mobile technology to develop information literacy skills
• Discover some useful Web 2.0 tools to use back in school

The afternoon session will include an introduction to some of the best author websites, blogs and book trailers and conclude with a talk by popular author, Steve Feasey.
