On Monday 4 November, Hampshire School Library Service is launching its brand new secondary Writing Competition. The aim is to provide a vehicle for your or your teachers' creative writing groups to exercise their imagination and skill, and be rewarded for their effort.
Pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4 are invited to submit a short story or an opening chapter of between 500-1000 words on one of three themes. There will be one winner in each Key Stage. There are prizes for the two winners and the schools they belong to, and the best entries will be published in a free ebook made available to all subscribing Hampshire schools.
The closing date is Friday 31 January 2014.
