Six simultaneous discussion groups across the county voted for their favourite book on the Hampshire Book Award shortlist this morning, 26 June.

By the closest ever margin - only one vote - My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece by Annabel Pitcher was voted the winner for 2013.

Almost 500 votes were cast by pupils from 52 schools. Many thanks to the pupils who took part and the librarians and teachers who guided them through.
