The top 50 stories from BBC Radio 2's 500 Words competition have been announced from over 90,000 entries.

All fifty have been voiced: you can download the mp3s from the site, or print the stories out. Schools have permission to use them in either format as a teaching resource.

The top three in each category (Gold, Silver, Bronze) will be announced on Friday 31 May from 6.30am on Radio 2.
