On the 27th February the National Literacy Trust will be bringing a new science and literacy workshop to The King’s School in Winchester. This is a three-hour session for Key Stage 3 and 4 science teachers and literacy leads to develop their understanding of the specific literacy requirements of the sciences, looking at vocabulary, reading strategies and extended writing. These skills are crucial not just to help students negotiate examination questions but also to help them speak and write like experts and foster a love of the subject.
