Schools subscribing to Hampshire School Library Service are invited to participate in the Hampshire Information Book Award 2019. 

The Award, now in its seventh year, is for Year 4 pupils. It is designed to allow pupils access to inspirational and imaginative non-fiction books, and to decide the winner themselves.

'Children learnt to use suitable language to critique the ( information) books that they were studying while explaining their reasons.'

'The children really enjoyed being judges and this process gave them a real purpose and a different aspect to their reading. Also it gave then the opportunity to read books that they may not normally pick up and take interest in.'
