Empathy Lab has announced that 12 June 2018 will be national Empathy Day.
Those of you who attended the Primary Library Conference in January will already be familiar with Empathy Lab, a not-for-profit organisation founded by Miranda McKearney OBE, who also founded the Reading Agency, which runs the Summer Reading Challenge.
It aims to work with Primary aged Children, their parents and teachers, providing training and resources to harness the power of stories to develop empathy.
After a highly successful 2017 pilot, Empathy Day will now be an annual, national event every June.
They have created a wide range resources for both Schools and Libraries, which can be downloaded directly from their website and further details can be found here https://sls.hias.hants.gov.uk/course/view.php?id=89§ion=5 .
