Two very useful online archives have just been made available to schools.
Shakespeare Archive: The BBC has drawn together a huge number of TV and radio programmes from their Shakespeare collection, as well as more than a thousand photos from classic Shakespeare productions. It is designed for those in UK formal education, and in order to play the programmes or see the photos you will need to prove you are part of a school, FE college or a university, using the authentication box which appears once you attempt to play media on the site.
Churchill Archive: The complete Churchill Archive is now available free of charge to schools for the first time. Opening up exciting new opportunities for the teaching and learning of History at secondary level, the Churchill Archive offers cross-searchable online access to over 800,000 original documents, from Churchill's personal correspondence with family and friends to official exchanges, and from photographs and newspaper reports to speeches in various drafts.
Links to both these resources will be found on our Eresources page.
